1) Who this policy applies to

This Policy applies to anyone who accesses or uses the Services. The App is intended for users aged 17 and older.

2) Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information we collect automatically, and (C) information from permissions you grant.

2.1) Information you provide

2.2) Information we collect automatically

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, language/region, app version, and similar technical identifiers.
  • Usage information: in-app actions and feature usage statistics (e.g., which tools are used, performance metrics) in aggregated or pseudonymized form where feasible.
  • Crash and diagnostics logs: crash reports and related diagnostic data to identify and fix issues.

2.3) Location information (only if you allow it)

If you grant location permission, we may collect precise or approximate location information to support features that rely on location. You can deny or withdraw permission at any time in your device settings.

2.4) Cookies and similar technologies

If parts of the Services are delivered via web content (e.g., embedded web views), we may use cookies and similar technologies (including web beacons) to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and help measure performance and reliability.

3) Photos, editing content, and AI / server-side processing

Herrola provides photo editing features, which may include advanced effects and tools that can be described as AI-assisted or compute-intensive.

3.1) Local processing and storage by default

By default, photos you edit and the results you generate are stored locally on your device. We do not perform face recognition, biometric identification, or create biometric profiles.

3.2) Optional upload for server-side processing

If you choose to upload content (such as photos and/or text prompts) for server-side processing:

  • Processing location: your content is processed on Herrola’s own servers.
  • No third-party sharing: we do not share your uploaded photos or text prompts with any third party.
  • No training/marketing use: we do not use your uploaded content to train models or for marketing.
  • Deletion: your uploaded photos and/or text prompts are deleted immediately after processing is completed and the result is delivered to you.
  • User control: you decide whether to upload content and whether to generate content using these features.

3.3) Face-related content

We do not use your photos to perform face recognition or biometric identification. Any generated results are created as a one-time processing output and are not retained beyond what is necessary to deliver the result to you.
